Digital Marketing

As many of you know from this blog I work as a digital marketer for a trade show display company. I’m in charge or designing and coding the company websites, blogs, and emails. No to mention I am charge of marketing these websites and obtaining leads. I have the added stress of making sure that the websites are well positioned within the major search engines. This is primarily achieved through search engine optimization methods. For those of who don’t know search engine optimization also known as SEO is the practice of getting specific keyword terms that pertain to your business to rank high within the search engines. Search optimization focuses on organic rankings which are the search listings that come up within the middle of your screen when you perform a search on a browser such as Google. The listings that you see at the very top and to the right of the page are called pay per a click or cost per a click advertising. Which means that your that you are paying money on every click that your receive to your website through these listings. This method can become costly very quickly and this is why I primarily focus on organic rankings. High rankings are obtained in a variety methods. Some methods differ between browser but the the core of SEO focus on website optimization along with quality back links that include keyword anchor text or title text within it. Stay tuned for my next update I might go into more depth about the on site optimization and back links.
